The Massachusetts College of Art and Design Ceramics Department and SGA (Student Government Association) are pleased to invite Mark Burns for a public artist talk on Friday, April 24. Mark Burns, a MFA graduate of the University of Washington, has had a long and distinguished career as a teacher and maker. He has held teaching positions all over the country. He most recently taught at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, where he was head of ceramics and chair of the department. Burns's work has been exhibited nationally and internationally and is held in numerous public and private collections. Burns has a keen sense of ceramic history and pop culture, which he uses to express complex cultural notions of sexuality and identity.

We are pleased to invite Mark Burns back to MassArt and hope to see you there!
